Next VFPC meeting will be Wednesday May 16th

Hey folks, we're moving the May VFPC meeting to the 3rd Wednesday so that we can have the bigger Town Hall meeting room.

We need the space because city staff is going to present the latest draft of the Food Strategy and we're going to have break out groups. Also, we'll wrap up a bit early and head out for a drink together. Sounds like fun, hey?

So, the details:

VFPC May Meeting Wednesday May 16th

6pm- 8:30 pm

in the Town Hall room at City Hall 453 West 12th Ave.

Please help us get the word out. This will be a great opportunity to give your thoughts on the Food Strategy.

Next VFPC meeting is Wednesday April 11th 6pm-8:30pm

Next Wednesday will be our momentous first meeting with new council members and even a few new liaisons.

Please note, we have a new, swank room to try out at City Hall. It has windows, folks, something that has been on our wishlist for the past two years at least. We also have room for 100 people if we need it, so feel free to tweet up the meeting or invite a friend.

The room is called the Town Hall Room, and is on the main floor of City Hall. Security can direct you to it.

We'll hear a bit about each member, have a "history of the VFPC" and even a brief lesson on Civics 101, so we all have a handle on what we can accomplish within a municipal context.

Looking forward to seeing you next Wednesday. Snacks will be provided.

March VFPC Meeting CANCELLED

Sorry for the relatively late notice, but it has been decided to postpone this month's meeting.

We will be looking forward to our first official meeting with the full complement of this term's VFPC members on Wednesday, April 11. (as usual, in the Strathcona Room at City Hall, 6pm-8:30pm)

Looking forward to seeing you then!
