Process for Seeking Vancouver Food Policy Council Endorsement of or Partnerships on a Third-Party Initiative
Approved at September 16th, 2015 meeting of the VFPC
In its role as a bridge between citizens and civic officials, the Vancouver Food Policy Council (VFPC) is uniquely situated to offer credibility and foster a culture of support for individuals and organizations working towards a just and sustainable food system in Vancouver.
One of the ways that the VFPC can do so is through partnerships with or endorsements of third-party initiatives. A partnership with or endorsement from the Vancouver Food Policy Council (VFPC) could take many forms depending on our capacity and your need, eg: providing a letter of support for a funding application, collaboratively working on a food policy issue, bringing a food policy issue to the attention of City Council in the form of a Motion, partnering on an event, etc.
To apply for VFPC endorsement, partnership, or to bring an issue to our attention, please complete the form below. The information will be used by VFPC members to determine whether the endorsement/partnership is aligned with our mandate and within our capacity as a volunteer-driven organization.
Send complete applications to firstname.lastname@example.org using the subject line “Application for Endorsement/Partnership”.
We will do our best to respond to your request within 30 days. Please keep in mind that we are a volunteer-driven organization so it may take longer than this for us to respond depending on our current workload.
Please direct questions about this process to email@example.com using the subject line “Question about Endorsement/Partnership Process”.
